What is Mind Your Way Home?

Mind Your Way Home is a mental health consulting service that helps individuals and families navigate the complex mental health system.  Led by a board-certified psychiatric nurse, I offer compassionate, informed guidance through care coordination, system navigation, advocacy, and support.

Who do you work with?

I work with individuals, families, and caregivers who are facing mental health challenges or caring for someone who is.  Whether you’re newly navigating the system or feeling stuck in the process, I can help.

Are you a therapist or psychiatrist?

No, I’m a registered nurse with board certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing.  I offer clinical insight, education, and care navigation to help clients make sense of the mental health system and advocate for their needs.  I do not provide therapy, diagnose conditions, or prescribe medications.

Can you help me find a therapist, psychiatrist, or treatment program?

Yes – part of what I do is help match people with providers and resources that fit their needs.  That might include individual therapists, medication providers, IOP/PHP programs, or residential care.  I can also guide you through how to access them and what to expect.

Can you go to appointments or meetings with me or my loved one?

While I don’t attend in-person appointments, I can help you prep for key conversations, review paperwork or treatment plans, and debrief afterward so you feel confident and informed every step of the way.

No, my services are private-pay only.  However, I can provide invoices for your records upon request.

Miscellaneous

Can you help during a mental health crisis?

I offer crisis navigation sessions to support families who are in the midst of acute challenges.  However, I do not offer emergency services.  If you or a loved one is in danger, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Do you work with people outside of Colorado?

Right now, I’m focused on clients in Colorado, where I’m licensed and most familiar with local resources.  That said, if you’re elsewhere and think I might be a good fit, feel free to reach out – we can talk about whether I can help or refer you to someone who can.

What makes your approach different?

I know how hard it is to ask for help – especially when you’re already exhausted from hitting endless walls.  I meet you where you are, without judgment or pressure.  I offer steady, clear guidance from someone who knows the system and truly cares.  You won’t get a one-size-fits-all plan from me – just support that makes sense for your real life.
